A Reflection on Growth, Boundaries & Building Well

For most of its life, VINS has been built lean, intentionally so.

From the very beginning, I ran the business solo. Every email, negotiation, system, decision, and direction sat with me. That approach demanded a high level of self-motivation, discipline, and self-awareness qualities I credit strongly for the success and stability VINS has achieved over time.

The early years were defined by constant refinement. Learning quickly, adjusting often, and shaping an offering that felt both ethical and effective. In more recent years, the work has shifted. Less reinvention, more consolidation. Tidying, strengthening, and finally addressing the things that had been sitting on the periphery, this website included.

Meeting Charley in 2024 marked an important turning point. Having support with the never-ending operational to-do list created space — not in how I think for my clients, but personally. Space to think proactively for myself, rather than purely responsively. Space to centre my own life alongside the business.

That clarity sparked a growing desire to build something beyond one-to-one management. A broader community. A space to share insight, support, and perspective with more people navigating this industry. What that looks like exactly is still unfolding — and that feels intentional too.

As we move through 2026, the focus remains the same: keeping the business considered, refining rather than inflating, and building in a way that supports longevity — for the talent, the brand, and the life around it.
